John Edge
Coach John Edge is a veteran football coach known for building disciplined, competitive programs and developing young men both on and off the field. A former player at Murray State and Kentucky Wesleyan, Edge brings decades of experience shaped by strong coaching influences and a deep understanding of the game. He began his coaching career in Owensboro, serving as a coordinator at Owensboro Catholic before stepping into the head coaching role, where he led the program to multiple deep playoff runs, including state championship appearances. After a stint at South Spencer in Indiana, Edge returned to Owensboro to lead Apollo High School football, where he has steadily rebuilt the program with a focus on accountability, toughness, and team culture. Beyond football, he is a devoted husband to Lauren and a father of six, known for his commitment to faith, family, and mentoring the next generation.
