Meet Brad Winter – Host of All Things Owensboro


Brad Winter is a professional of nothing, but an enthusiast of everything—especially good conversation, great food, Jesus, and small-town stories that deserve the spotlight.


Originally from Philly (yes, he reps the great state of PA, Go Steelers & Phillies), Brad found his way to Owensboro, KY, where he serves as the Minister of Recreation & Community Engagement at FBC Owensboro. When he’s not podcasting, you’ll catch him lifting weights,  character coaching for Apollo (#GOEAGLES), running community events and sports leagues, reading books, or meeting with people daily to connect and encourage. 


With a deep love for BBQ, Bluegrass, and the people that make Owensboro special, Brad is here to share the wild, heartfelt, and downright hilarious stories of this incredible town.

Amber Farmer is a dynamic marketing professional based in Owensboro, currently serving as a Marketing Representative at Disaster Team, Inc., a local restoration services company. She’s been recognized for her leadership and community engagement, earning the Greater Owensboro Chamber’s 2020 Ambassador of the Year award.


 In 2023, she was featured as Chamber Member of the Week, highlighting her role in promoting vital restoration services during emergencies. Amber holds a degree from Western Kentucky University and studied at Owensboro Community & Technical College. 


A passionate advocate for Owensboro’s growth, she actively participates in Chamber initiatives like Leadership Owensboro class of 2019. Amber brings energy, professionalism, and a community-first mindset to every project she touches.

Braden West

Braden West, from Owensboro, Kentucky, was born with Pfeiffer syndrome type 2, a rare condition that affects skull development and brain growth. Doctors initially gave him little chance of survival beyond infancy, but Braden has defied the odds, undergoing over 30 surgeries and surpassing 18 years of life. Raised in a faith-driven family, Braden’s journey has been supported by his parents, Chuck and Cheri, and his siblings. His story gained national attention when his hospice nurse, Michelle Linn, took his high school graduation photos—17 years after caring for him. Braden graduated with a 3.9 GPA and is an active member of the Civil Air Patrol in Owensboro. He aspires to share his testimony and inspire others by speaking about his experiences. Braden’s life is a testament to resilience, faith, and community support.

Cindy Jean

Cindy Jean is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fresh Start for Women, a nonprofit transitional housing community in Owensboro, Kentucky. Established in 2016, Fresh Start provides safe, affordable housing and supportive services for women and children transitioning from addiction recovery, incarceration, or other challenging circumstances. Under Cindy's leadership, the organization has grown to house up to 16 women and 24 children, offering programs in budgeting, parenting, nutrition, counseling, addiction recovery, Bible studies, and life skills development.​


In 2015, Cindy left her position at Frantz Building Services to fully commit to Fresh Start for Women. Her vision and faith have been instrumental in creating a supportive environment where women can rebuild their lives, pursue education and employment opportunities, and reunite with their families. Cindy is married to Shane Jean and is a proud mother and grandmother.​

Jason Koger

Jason Koger is a motivational speaker, author, and advocate from Owensboro, Kentucky. In 2008, he survived a life-altering ATV accident that led to the loss of both his arms. Jason became the first bilateral upper-arm amputee in the world to be fitted with two multi-articulating bionic hands. ​

Since then, Jason has shared his story on national platforms, including appearances on "Hawaii Five-O," CNN, and TEDx. He authored Handed a Greater Purpose, detailing his journey of faith and resilience.  Through his charity event, "Handing Back," Jason has raised over $30,000 to support his community. ​

Jason lives in Owensboro with his wife, Jenny, and their three children. He continues to inspire others by demonstrating that with faith and determination, challenges can be transformed into opportunities.​

Jordan Wilson is the Executive Director of Friends of Sinners and co-founder of Jesus Ministries in Owensboro, KY. Once trapped in addiction and crime, Jordan surrendered his life to Christ in 2016 after a powerful encounter with the gospel. Now clean, restored, and on mission, he leads a Christ-centered recovery program and shares his story of redemption across the country. Kim Roberson

Kim Roberson is the owner of Kim's Diner, a beloved eatery in Owensboro, Kentucky, known for its hearty meals and welcoming atmosphere. Mike & Noah Payton

Mike Payton, a hands‑on problem‑solver and devoted parent, earned an associate degree in Industrial Electronics from Owensboro Community & Technical College. As Noah’s father, he champions his son’s dreams—not only by caring for daily needs due to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), but also by nurturing Noah’s creative passions. On Mike’s TikTok, he says: “My son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy … he aspires to be a movie director” 


Noah Payton, diagnosed with DMD, has channeled his challenges into ambition. As a teen, he won a dream trip to Hollywood and began working on his own film projects . Despite using a wheelchair to manage this terminal, progressive condition, he graduated from Daviess County High School in 2025 with community celebration. He plans to attend WKU in the fall of 2026 to double major.

Penny Tomes is a lifelong Owensboro, KY resident and passionate advocate for justice and community awareness. She is the daughter-in-law of Terri Howell, whose 1980 unsolved murder remains one of Daviess County’s most haunting cold cases. Penny has become a voice for victims' families, sharing Terri’s story and urging anyone with information to come forward. Through courage and persistence, she works to keep Terri’s memory alive and hopes to bring long-overdue answers and closure to her family.
